Last one for the week, home early again on Friday.

2 hours to tarp with 25mph winds. I parked as close as I could to another trailer to block the wind. It looks terrible. Since it’s going 2000 miles I tried to make it perfect. I still need tarping practice. The coils was a short load.

What’s funny was the shipper wanted it tarped but wouldn’t allow you to tarp it on their property but at a truck stop down the road. I saw 2 other trucks loading and I was the only one to tarp out of us 3. Other 2 just kept rolling. Saw one today about 600 miles out, still untarped.

You tarped the coil pretty good. Better than I could ever do.
Here is my next load. 3 stops 2,000 miles. What a pain to chain. I’ve heard the chain can damage the rubber track. So securing it without the chains or binders touching paint, the track, or each other, and keep it 45 degrees was possible but time consuming. Can’t tell in photo but each tie down isn’t touching the other one.
I also like to use 2 spools/pockets and “loop” the chain as it feels more secure to me than just one chain down.

I did one of those a few months ago. It was actually two 20 footers that they managed to lock together when they loaded them. Mine wasn’t as big as yours, maybe 10’6” and somewhat shorter. I was lucky enough to be able to just hand my straps up to the guys doing the rigging, I think they felt sorry for the senior citizen
FerrissWheel, Kyle G., God prefers Diesels and 4 others Thank this.
