Were you crossing the GW on Tuesday? It took me 3 hours for wb due to emergency construction on the bridge. I put my dish on a pole that I attached to the head ache rack when I'm parked. I have it so it clears the tractor. It will work most of the time . But like you say if its windy out it will not set up.

I was west bound out of CT.
I do my best to avoid the east bound GW toll if it makes sense.

Highway Sailor Thanks this. -
I have to give my ratchet binders periodic sprays of CRC lube or WD40 to prevent them from locking up. Another reason why I prefer the simplicity of snap binders.

The WD-40 is NOT a lubricant. Water displacer sure, penetrant sure, lubricant NO.. Okay it will lubricate till it dries, which isn't very long
johndeere4020, Old Iron and Ruthless Thank this. -
The best lube I have ever found is called John Deere Multi purpose lube. I get it in gallon jugs and use it in the old fashioned squirt cans. Not cheap, I want to say around $30 a gal. But it flat out works. Its kind of like a really thin drill press cutting oil. You can put one drop on a bolt thread and watch it surround the threads and run through a half seized nut.
freemoneykev and johndeere4020 Thank this. -
The best lube I've found is KY. Just sayin....
Highway Sailor, Old Iron and passingthru69 Thank this. -
Rugerfan Thanks this.
