Hello everyone wondered if anyone else has or had this problem: my power divider switches have orange indicator lights that illuminate when on. The middle switch, used for the front axle, the light is on when the switch is down or off. The 2 outside switches operate normally. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Start by checking that the front diff is actually unlocking when the switch is off. IE no air in the hose going from the frame to the diff housing down by the axle shafts. If no air then make sure the actuator is actually in the unlocked position and if so then you’re gonna have to start tracing wires unfortunately.
Long FLD and gentleroger Thank this. -
The diff is operating its just the light stays on when the switch is off.

If you unplug the diff lock sensor wire does the light go out?

Did you have your front locker engaged and then the light stayed on? Or did the light just randomly light up?
It's possible your locker is stuck in the engaged position but you should be able to tell if it is, would be driving funny and making noise when turning.
I'd guess the difference lock sensor is bad. But I'd find out sooner than later. If by chance your diff lock is engaged that's hard on stuffLong FLD, gentleroger and Roberts450 Thank this. -
It's been like this since 2017, so I'm certain it's something in the switch that's causing it to stay on. I know a piece of electrical tape would "fix it" but I'd like to figure out what's causing the light to stay on.feldsforever Thanks this.

Haven't tried that....might give that a go when I get home next week; I've been gone 6 weeks, time to make sure the house is still standingRoberts450 Thanks this.

Power divider is switch to the left, and as long as it’s off should automatically disengage cross locks IIRC.
try swapping the switch with the rear or spend the $50 on a new one, worse case you have a good spare -
That’s not your power divider, that one and the one to the right are differential locks. They lock the axle so both wheel ends get 100% power. Since it’s been that way since 2017 I’d it’s just an electrical issue. If it was locked in and running the highway that rear would of been toast by now.
