I started working for a trucking company and they gave me different payment options for getting paid. Direct deposit, mailed check, a wallet app (like paypal), or ComData. I've heard that ComData can be difficult and I chose direct deposit because I like the money going right to my bank account.

I'm just curious how other truckers like getting paid for loads. Anyone use a wallet app? Do any of the trucking loadboard apps have their own in-app wallet for payment? I see direct deposit and something like paypal as the same thing cause paypal is already linked to my bank for free. Anyone else?

Direct deposit to my credit union. Anything else means I have to pay to get my money.

Direct deposit is the way to go. Waiting for a check in snail mail. Means someone has to make a trip to the bank. I'm old school (or maybe just old) so I dont do PayPal. When I got paid by comdata. It seemed like my money was always short by time it made it to bank.
But that was more of a personal management problem more than anything else. Money in the bank stays in the bank. Money in my pocket has a way of getting chipped away before it makes it to bank.

Direct deposit. I also had com data. We had a fuel card and a payroll card. We could call comdata and direct deposit the money ourselves or write a comcheck or go to ATM.

I like paper checks but that’s just me. I like seeing and feeling something I can hold in my hand. The sense of accomplishment and not just numbers changing on my online banking is important to me.

If you are on the road a lot and it’s hard to get to the bank then direct deposit is what most everyone does.

Those others are just a good way to spend your money instead of saving it. Helps keep drivers broke and unable to switch jobs as easy. Just another trap masked as a convenience IMO.

Paper check for me also. Gives me a reason to go home. Wait,I'm home everyday, and the wife always gets the mail. She likes a paper check cause it gives her reason to go to the store I mean bank.

Paper checks are alright, that's what I would want if direct deposit wasn't available. Your home every day so I suppose you can pick up your check, and take to bank. But if you had to wait for the mailman to bring it from 6 states away. Would you wanna wait, or see it in your bank the day it is due?

Direct Deposit all the way.Years ago, I used to cash check at the bank, count it, then deposit all but $20, for the week. Then came ATM drive thru, greatest invention of all time, saved a lot of money, Bought a house, got married, been broke ever since. Lol
