PrePass user DOT inspections

Never saw a thing about it.

 

The d.o.t. has been wall to wall in my area. just last week, while driving on i-65 north, a highway patrol sitting in his usual location, came out behind me & hit the blue lights. he walked up to my truck & said your all good so far. I just pulled you over for an inspection This was the first time I had been pulled over on the shoulder of the interstate for an inspection at 2:30 in the morning. lucky for me all my lights were working, & my paperwork, logs were in order. only driving 90 miles from home & back, was not thinking would be stopped. this officer, must have been bored or tired & wanted to keep awake. this was in TN AT HE 53 M.M.

 

Have they opened the new scale there yet?

 

I didn't have any problems although I heard rumor that mo was doing a targeted enforcement on big trucks through the weekend. Not sure if is just trucker bs or not though.

 

Yeah, the new super coop was open last time I went through about a week ago. They were too full of trucks getting inspected to weigh any more, and put up the closed sign while they were catching up.

 

I got green lighted all day.

 

Yeah around here I'm never one to leave the house, even on shorthaul trips that keep me in the area, without my logs and everything else in perfect order. I-65 over there has always been a bad place to get hassled by the DOT before the super coop got built down south, I'm sure you know this, they liked to hang out in that parking area north of the Loves doing inspections at random times. I've had buddies over that way on a Friday trying to finish up their day and get back home get shut down there before.

 

My son got a level 2 on US-78 in AL this morning. Wasn't at a scale and no violations found. I got red lighted into the I-85 NB scales near Lagrange GA last Friday for a drive thru. All green lights everywhere else.

 

I don't have PrePass (yet), but I got a Fuel Tax inspection today in Ohio. Just a quick 5 minute fuel sample of the tank and was told I was good to go.
