I'm looking at my PSP Report. I don't see where it list PSP POINTS?. I've never received a ticket or been involved in a crash. It shows 3 inspections with 0 Driver OOS, Vehicle OOS, HazMat OOS points. At an OH inspection it shows a violation for Brakes (General) plus the FMCSA Regulation number 396.3(a)(1) and comment of NON-OOS. If am employer asks how many PSP Points do I have what do I answer? That 1 violation in Mar of 2018 is the only non-zero entry. Do I calculate my own number based on FMCSA BASIC X Years?
There is no such thing as PSP points. Companies are assigned CSA points based on your inspections. But you do not get any points. Your PSP just lists your inspections. Note. Some companies have software that takes the CSA points and assigns them to that driver for their internal use and record keeping. When I worked for Quality Carriers they had this.
You walk away because if they don't know that there are no such thing as PSP points do you really trust them to get any other regulatory stuff correct?
Hello guys. I am sorry, but I cannot ask before I post 7 times lol. Therefore, I will post my question hoping to hear back about it. Semi Truck I am driving slip on black ice, jackknife, went to ditch, nothing damaged except the truck. Pull out from ditch by weaker, and I drove it 3 miles to wrecker garage. Since I drove it, why it show up as tow away truck? I was fired later, and my psp show tow away truck. Did my company report that to hurt me, and what should I do? Thank you.
So the truck did that all by itself! Do you have any idea how much money it cost to repair the damage on that tractor and trailer? Maybe you did not damage yourself or anybody else's property, but you certainly damaged YOUR EMPLOYERS property. Your post should read, " I screwed up and was driving in unsafe conditions at an unsafe speed. I hit some black ice and I jackknifed my rig"
No, your Company reported it because you were involved in a PREVENTABLE accident. Take responsibility, admit your mistake, learn from it and move forward. Somebody will give you a second chance. Good luck.
Companies do not report things to the PSP system. Everything on your PSP will be on your company's CSA and items get on both in the same way. By an inspection report and/or from an accident. Now, the company could have reported this to someone like DAC. But not to his PSP.
