I have never heard a bad experience from PTEC until I went, and with all respect it was a HORRIBLE experience. Let me first say that I am only 22 years old and look even younger, so they judged me and told me I should become a barber or a customer service representative, so for the older folks they probably won't experience what I did. It all started when I went out with Steve, he is a big idiot who tried to stop me from earning my CDL, I went city driving with him the first day and every now and then he was texting and told me to stop at dunkin donuts on his break and left me in the truck. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THAT! However, that same day when we arrived at school he told Laura that I scared him and that i'm not cut out for this job and that I am wasting my time here LOL REALLY? Listen sir if you was scared first you would of pulled me from behind the wheel, second you would not tell me to pull in dunkin donuts and went in for a coffee and left me alone, and third you would not be focusing on your phone let's get real sir!!!! Also, Laura told me why am I here if I can't even drive a car. LOL REALLY MAM you never even went city driving with me you should become a judge if I should become a barber OK. Mary said if I drive a truck I will kill someone in less than 3 weeks LOL REALLY MAM?? You never went city driving with me either. For the three unprofessional instructors explain to me why I drove over 50 miles in about 3 days and never hit anything? They can't explain. Steve said " I see things you don't see" yea ok sir you can't even explain what I did wrong obviously you just don't see me in this industry due to my personality skills and youthful look. THE STORY DOESNT END. I passed my pre trip on my first try and the same day I re took and passed my skills test LAURA kicked me out an hour later because I went city driving with a volunteer after my skills test and LAURA said can't train me anymore due to the volunteer's report. The volunteer even told me I was doing good, seems to me there was a plan to get rid of me, I may be young but not stupid. Laura, the truth is you deeply thought I was going to fail my skills test again and I didn't, also you knew I was going to pass my road test and kicked me out ahead of time before the road test LOL let's speak about the truth. So Steve, Mary, and Laura think it's done for me? Guess what? Not even 2 weeks later I passed my Class B road test at Twiss Transportation on my first try !!!!!!!! The instructor at Twiss said it doesn't make any sense that PTEC kicked me out. Indeed, PTEC was a horrible experience. But they did not stop my goal and I accomplished it. There are always people who want to see you fall but I stood up and showed them what it takes. I may not be an experienced driver but I surely am a cautious, safe driver. Practice makes you even better! The key here is passing the three test which means you have the knowledge to become a truck driver. Well said! Ask them about EDWIN and no matter what they say, I proved everything and they haven't proved nothing! Peace! Also I made a complaint file. They thought to them selves " This kid needs to get the hell out of here he doesn't look like a TRUCKER" That's the plain truth.

Are you driving Class B trucks now? If so, then you will need refresher if you later decide to drive Class A trucks.
KLLM and Earl Henderson Trucking have refresher/extra training or whatever you may need. They both are coast to coast reefer outfits.
The best pay is with Florida Beauty Express out of Miami. Make a little over $1700.00 weekly gross running to West Coast and back.
Be safe and congratulations on passing your tests and finding a trucking job.

Edit: I understand about looking younger than your actual age. At one time I faced that same problem. Don't now though because I'm older and I see it in the mirror. Had my ID checked in night clubs as late as when I was 27 yrs. old. On a positive though, it helped me snag a wife that's 30 yrs. younger than me. That's her in the avatar.

OK. I looked at Twiss website & it looks good. Looks like they can put you in Class A if you want in the future. Good choice; you'll do OK in this new career.

Edwin, I know you and you failed out twice. You started in one class, failed your class A, then got bumped down to a class B because you couldn't pass the skills test. You then joined our new class coming in, then failed your road test yet again. Driving a truck isn't a game.... If they felt you were too unsafe, then you were. I watched you in the yard trying to do your maneuvers with the class b box truck, and you were struggling all the time. Don't slam instructors for being honest and failing you because you really can't and shouldn't be driving a truck. Ptec doesn't produce steering wheel holders, they produce drivers. If you couldn't retain what they teach you or you just couldn't pick up the maneuvers with a tractor trailer, then that's on you..... Not them. Ptec states clearly at the beginning of class what they expect out of you, and if you can't manage then you will either be bumped down to a class b, or fail entirely. A guy in our class got bumped down to a B, and passed.... He just couldn't drive the combination vehicle. That same guy had a bad attitude as well, and they passed him. You failed because of you, not them. They have a job to do.... And that's to make sure they are confident you can drive without plowing through a minivan full of kids and killing them. What they aren't doing, is giving people a cdl like it's a prize in a cracker jack box. Good luck in your job and all though....

You know me congratulations LOL what is your name put in on here let's be clear sir ??? I do not care what you say because you and the instructors are full of lies. I never failed my class A I decided to bump down because I then felt that I should start off with a straight truck and honestly I knew they didn't like me so i thought to my self it's more chances of passing if i bumped down to a B, knowing the type of instructors they are. However, they decided to still get rid of me. First, i never failed my skills test with class A i never even took one. Second, OH they failed me twice? Let me find out that's on my record i will sue them and if you want to be a witness go ahead LOL!!! I'll find out. !!! But it's a lie. Third, i never failed they told me they do not have any space for class B and that they wanted me to join the second class. I decided to bump down to a B a week later, they had no space, but that other guy bumped down to a B a month later and they had space YEA OK seems like funny business is going on. Fourth, i never even took a road test what the hell are you talking about. I was struggling a bit but that's normal then i got it right in on the parallel parking. I know trainers who had their students stuck in a gas station with a Class A and helped them out they didn't tell them pack up and leave. If i'm that bad why did i pass my road test the first time at the trucking company if i shouldn't be driving a truck like you say?? Answer that if you want to continue with the bull LOL i am a quiet respectful gentleman but not stupid like some might think. They got rid of me because they didn't see my personality in this industry because the way I express myself and look like. Ptech isn't worth it at all the instructors aren't either they think too high of themselves and are very judgmental. I made a complain report and the director knew that the instructors did me wrong. I got kicked out an hour later after i passed my Class B skills test! So you do not know what the hell you are talking about.
