Hey guys, hoping someone can help me out.
I've been sitting at a truck stop all weekend to deliver a load on Monday. I dimmed the QC screen and haven't turned it back on.
Today I wanted to take a look to make sure I had a full 70 and couldn't get the screen to come on. I also noticed the backlights for the buttons aren't on either. So it seems as if its not getting power.
Everything else seems to be working fine, so I don't know what the problem could be.
Does anyone know if there is a reset or power button hidden on these things?
I'm trying to get ahold of someone from the company, but have been on hold for ages.
Qualcomm not getting power?

Yes... there's a cable with a label of power hooked to a black box usualy under the bunk ..
unhook that cable for approx 30 min then reconnect.. don't move your truck while the power is unhooked.. theres also a fuse plainly marked.. if niether work its paper log and shop tine.. a company can fax you the logswanttotruck Thanks this. -
There is also a fuse usually behind the glove box. Of course depending on the truck you have. But it's a 25A fuse that sometimes blows. Mine blew while I was installing the CB. It took out the CB, Qualcomm, and popped the breaker on the power inverter. If you don't have paper logs, you should get at least 2 log book, for just this type of situation.
wanttotruck Thanks this. -
It was the 25a fuse. Whew, I've heard some horror stories of drivers having to pay several hundred dollars for a QC repair with my company.
Thanks for the info guys! -
my thoughts about that are happy days are here again. maybe you can make some really good money until they get it fixed. buy yourself a couple of paper log books and go about your business. i would not try and repair it for any reason let them worry about how to fix it,that way if something is wrong they cant blame you. in trucking you have to stay ahead of the curve and take advantage of any break that comes your way. be safe out there

They won't know til its called in or the truck is moved.. i wonder what the wait would be in the shop ?

They know when your stuck on the drive line..

The only problem with that... is the qualcomm is also how you get your load information... my qualcomm went down once and so did my preassigned loads.. only got 2000 miles that week... it was a pain having to call everything into dispatch and wait for a load assigment... so my qualcomm being down cost me 700 miles that week..

Not sure who you work for, but when my unit is down my FM sends me load offers to my personal email. I pick the one I want and send it back. I would ask your FM if he/she could do that in the future.

if i could do that i think the qualcomm might always be down
