What kind of stuff does Roehl want you to do when you first get there? Straight line, alley dock, etc? I have been out of school for 3 months and have not been in a truck so I'm a little worried about the first day and if ill be able to remember everything. Is it pretty hard? Maybe I should contact my old instructer and ask if I can come back to school for a day and drive around in a truck to refresh my memory. I was top of my class in school but now I'm not so sure about my confidence anymore.

I attended orientation at the end of February in Marshfield after graduating from Roadmasters two weeks before. If you are fresh out of school the road test is very simple. A few left and right turns around the town and then back to the yard. No backs of any kind. The only people that had to back for the test were drivers that came in with experience.

Don't sweat the orientation. Just pass the pee test and the work-well test and you will be fine. The work-well test wasn't hard either and I'm a 51 year old tiny man.

Everyone at Roehl in Marshfield was very business-like and nice to deal with. I'm now out with my trainer on Evo 2, learning a lot and enjoying it. So far I think I made the best choice by choosing Roehl.

Thanks for chiming in. I think I better see if I could meet up with my old instructor. Unless I just say the hell with it and go for it. Do they test you on Pre-trip if your a new grad? Again thanks.

Yes, you will do a pre-trip. They know that you are new, so that aren't too hard on you. My tester was from Dallas. I can't remember his name, but he didn't beat me up or anything and I did screw up one turn.
