Question about a 1099 statement

    There really isn't enough info here for me to give you a good answer. (this is how I am reading it, would I be correct) The truck is leased to CRST Malone, by the person/owner-op you drove for. (This person does have a current business license of his own, correct) If you were paid cash or got no receipts or photo copies of the checks you were paid by, ask ur CPA how that would work for you. In the end he may have to pay ur taxes. for those 10 loads. I've gone through similar, the company had to pay all the taxes for the yr. Start with checking on the business lic.

    They are correct about needing more info BUT I had roughly the same deal ......so here's what we did.

    Made a solid effort to get 1099, reported what our records showed and completed return ALONG with note explaining our estimated figures.

    I assure you, they will adjust your return to meet their records and bill / pay accordingly.
