So the CDL school closest to me is a 9 months contract, which isn't that long, but kind of is. And it's for a company that doesn't get good reviews here (CR Eng). If I quit before the 9 months because say I hate it or I want a local job and now have the experience, how much would I need to pay back? Just the remaining contract or the full cost?

Yep. Remaining part, but could be interest added on too, since it is a loan. May add collection fees.

Do your 9 months. Don't quit before then. Get your experience, it will make you more marketable.

Planning for failure? You already know England is scum. Why risk it? Why not aim higher than the toilet?

"Well Six, it's their school and they push England real hard and I won't have to look for a job."

    Sounds like a plan. Yo!

more like aim for the floor, go somewhere better like prime or swift. Schneider is good too, Megas may be hated but they get your foot in the door.

If you take the time to actually read the contract BEFORE you sign it, it will tell you all of your obligations. If you can't understand it take it to a lawyer, DO NOT rely on what the recruiter tells you.

Since when does "9 months" qualify as experience enough to get a good job?

If you have no debt or family obligations, I would recommend the following strategy for fast upward mobility. Stay at CRE for at least two years before looking around. Why? Stability looks good on your resume. Stick with your jobs for at least two years.
