I have been looking at job ads and saw an ad for Transam trucking which stated that drivers are...
"Required to take the tractor and trailer home during home time and must have secure place to park the equipment at home location"
Now, I've heard of companies that LET you take the truck home, but never heard of a company that REQUIRES that you take the truck (and trailer) home!
So, my question is for anybody who works (or has) for Transam: How does this policy work with drivers who live in a city or suburb that doesn't allow you to park a truck/trailer on the street or in your driveway?

I never worked for Transam but basically I would say it your responsibility to have a safe place to park their truck and trailer. You can't just park in a shopping center or walmart a leave it their prob some side street. You have park at truck stop or you can have paid parking. It basically part of the job requirement you know a safe place to park the truck and trailer. If you live close to their terminal I'm sure you can park there and drive car home. Hopefully you live close to a truck stop you can park.

Safe place would be some place it's not going to get towed. But it's also been 13 years since I worked for transam.
Good luck -
They told us in orientation today that they will work with you to find a safe place.
MrsWJAA Thanks this.
