Just wondered if anyone has gone through Central's training in Salt Lake recently? Was it fast paced? What was the hotel and training like. Thanks for the info!![]()

Hotel is crap, training is fast, and what you'd expect from a training company. Check out the two "follow me through central refrigerated training" threads to get a good idea.

Actually The Hotel is really nice, They started a new contract with the country inn. Clean nice rooms with a flat screen television.....Of course thats assuming you make it out of the jail cell you live in for week 1.
The training is very fast paced. The instructors are really great guys. I struggled quite a bit with my backing and shifting. I wasnt the worst in the class but I was pretty bad lol.
I went out with a trainer and I endured.lol. By the time I was done with training I was shifting nicely.
If you dont have your CDL you will be bombarded with CDL test questions and answers. When I went to the DMV I knew the answers and questions so well I finished in 10 minutes and only missed 3 total for over 90% on all tests. They actually give you the questions and answers that are on the test and they do a great job of pounding them in your head.
The hardest part was the actual driving. I would have liked more backing training but overall Central does a really good job training although I cant compare them to others....So this is just my opinion.cyn1123 Thanks this. -
Thanks for the info Jack!
