I guess it would sort of depend what the emergency was for me anyway. Did fido have to be put down or did your sibling get in a bad accident and is in intensive care barely hanging on? There is a big difference of what some call a family emergency.
Rubber duck kw Thanks this. -
No but the company phone has a recored line
They called to ask bout why i left i told them what happen what the lady had told me to do but i even told her i would sit there till they came to secure it now they are saying i abandoned the truck but i didnt if i was told to leave keys there that she will have someone come and secure it -
My mother who has been healthy never had any health issues and i got call from my brother telling me my moms in hospital i ask what happen he said she was doing laundry and collapse and started to have seizure and was in em under critical conditions

They wont be doing you any favors..... not in their interests to help you.
Just move on and learn. Better opportunities await you just need to be patient. -
I hope so
I applied at local job last night and they called me this morning and are just gonna do back grpund check im just nervous that i wnt get the job because of this i know it wasnt right thing to do but family is first always will be and i just did what i was told i could do and she never went on saying anything about what consequences were if i left -
I would be up front with the new company. Especially if they are smaller and a local company I think you’ll be ok. Now if I was an OTR company I may pass in case something happens again but being local it wouldn’t be as big of a risk to hire you.

Yea. Worst case scenario is it will encourage you to go to a company that doesn't use DAC. In my mind that's a win-win for you.
Take care of family, and go and apply to new companies. If asked about abandonment answer truthfully, but don't give out a long rambling paragraph. Something along the lines of "I had a family emergency. I contacted my manager and was instructed to park the truck and take a bus home. Their manager wanted me to move the truck to another location, but I was already on my way home at that point."
It's truthful, concise, and doesn't give out information the new company doesn't need.
That's assuming, of course, that the manager was not simply trying to get you back to move the truck. I'd say there is a good chance it will never get reported.
