I hardly us mine in my car anymore. The local PD in El Paso will usually let you slide up to 10 mph ove depending on the road and location.

Fwiw, the last time I got a ticket was 73 in a 60 near downtown. With my detector I might add. Now I keep it at 68-70 and I sail right by the popo shooting radar from the left shoulder.

I heard the Texas DPS used to have Spectre radar detector detectors in their cruisers and would use instant on radar on cars and trucks that the Spectre alerted on.

In reality DOT has no legitimate authority to regulate what frequencies one may receive. That is the realm of the FCC.

However, the gov. seems to do whatever the heck it pleases.

BTW Bill Clinton signed the bill that outlawed radar detectors in CMVs. Thanks Bill. And let's not forget the Repub Congress and the senate which passed the bill.

Your are right, the FCC regulate frequencies for transmitting and anything transmitted you are allowed to receive, if it's transmitted electrons in free space you are allow to copy those frequencies but here is the deal: the detector is what they outlawed be it on or off. Now here's what get interesting, "stealth radar detectors are equipped with a radar detector-detector-detector circuit what shuts down the maim radar receiver when the detector-detector signal is sensed thus preventing detection by the law's detector for your detector, now did everybody keep up with that?, I didn't and I'm the one doing the writing.

This is for all truckers that use GPS units:
Before using the suction cup mount on your windshield, check the state and local laws and ordinances where you drive. Some state laws prohibit drivers from using suction mounts on their windshields while operating motor vehicles. Other state laws allow the suction mount to be located only in specific locations on the windshield. Many other states have enacted restrictions against placing "non-transparent material" on the windshield or placing objects on the windshield in locations that obstruct the driver's vision.

"Now the good news, there is no restrictions on toilet paper so have fun and enjoy your freedom truckers"

Install a micro wave on front number and rear of trailer. Works better then a radar jammer. Just have to run them on continuos. Lmao

I am considering the non detectable remote mounted detector with concealed kill switch. I have been using detectors for years to drive slow especially useful when coming in too a small podunk town. I like being reminded to slow down . Does anyone else use RD to drive slow ?

Don't know if these still work with the new radar police use, but a few years ago Canadian drivers were using fish finders which would thwart/defeat/frustrate the radar signal. I don't know how the mounted or used them, but those drivers loved those things.
