Just wondering what the attrition rate is like for Roehl's training program? How many of the students who start the program finish it and end up driving for Roehl?

I was in a class of six this january. 4 of us are doing well with Roehl. 1 im not sure of, he was a great guy but just not sure he got the driving fully and may have just decided to do something else..it's not for everybody and he really was a really great guy. the other had some medical issues with his back and I think that was his only hold up. not sure what he ended up doing.

Roehls a good company and RDTC is a good school. If you go there in reasonable health, clear of licensing issues, and want to put in the work I see no reason that you would fail other than poor performance. They work really hard with you and when you go out driving if you want to work they will work you hard there too...and they pay!

^^^ What he said. The fact that goblue and I were in the same RDTC class has no influence on my endorsement. :) It bears mentioning that all six of us in our class completed it successfully and obtained our CDLs; the issues with the two mentioned occurred during the post-RDTC hiring period. I have talked to some people in RDTC classes that came after ours, where the in-class attrition rate was higher, where they lost one or two out of the five or six during the first or second weeks, mostly due to the people deciding that it just wasn't for them. Roehl does offer a pro-rated refund of the tuition for those who decide to leave before completing the program.

That was a GREAT CLASS but the weather totally sucked in Feb for 2 of the 3 weeks. My advice is pick a warmer time of year or another Roehl location for training if its winter like Atlanta or Dallas.

    technoroom Thanks this.

The only problem with that is that if you don't already have a CDL you have to go to Marshfield and enjoy the wonderful Wisconsin weather.

I'll be going in July, so heat and humidity will be more of an issue than snow and ice. :biggrin_25523:

There were 5 in my class, and pretty sure there's only 2 of us that are still around.

Not just RDTC, I was in a experienced hire orientation and there were 4 of us. Only 2 of us made it, and the other guy was a lease op that was on his third time with Roehl.

What happened to the other 3? Did they make it through the training at least?

One got sent home early because he just couldn't drive the truck. Kept putting the instructor and other students in dangerous situations, and he came to school with a class B license. Another got mad because they were messing with him and the sleep apnea stuff. 3rd guy just dropped off the face of the earth. Few of us exchanged phone #'s when we left school and he's never responded to texts or anything. He struggled a bit towards the end too, so who knows. Myself and the guy I was in the truck with are doing great. We had a fantastic instructor at RDTC too though.
