How much do you guys pay for reefer breakdown coverage. I know everyone might be a little different but I’m just curious about a ball park figure of how much extra my insurance policy will be. Thanks

I've never heard of insurance for this type of thing.

My advice, and mind you it's been well over 20 years since I've seen a friend of a friend do this, but-

Don't pay anyone. Break your reefer down into nickels, dimes, eighths and quarters. Most people who break down their reefer have some sort of portable scale to make sure the weights are on point. If you deal with shady individuals, then the best insurance for reefer breakdowns is some sort of side arm or maybe a mean looking dude as a sidekick.

It's generally included on a cargo coverage policy. If it isn't, tell your agent that you want it. Shouldn't add much to the cost.
