There is a screen on front of trailer to control temperature , that is ur control module . there is a fuel tank on the side of the trailer behind the landing gear. When get done fueling def and diesel in truck pull forward to tank on trailer and fuel er up . make sure if u dropping trailer for next driver be courteous and make sure fuel on trailer is topped off. Make sure to always set temperature as to what it says on ur bills for the customer. Regardless of what dispatch tells u or the office jockeys at the shipper say . the bills are the legal contract and if its a different temperature thats on the bills then they gonna get u with a claim . other than the ling boring wait times it is the same as pulling a dry van . BORING AS ####. When u get ready to pull a flatbed and have some fun , let me know.

P.S. all this info comes from a flatbed driver who has never pulled reefer so take it with a grain of salt lol

Its more work and makes u think. But dont have to deal with a hole warehouse idiots unless u go to home depot or lowes dc and they make u tarp a load of shingles . If u east of i35 tmc got a great training program. And they pay very well for starter company . i personally know guys that making 60k their first year on the percentage program. They have different specialized fleets as well so can work ur way into something. But they is probably the best flatbed company to start with in terms of pay.

It's ok, 87% of the folks pulling a reefer don't know what they are doing either.

    promise we won't tell..

    Smart move; going with reefers.
Someone at your company will fill you in on operating the reefer unit.
New units are simple for the driver; they pretty much do it all without much help.
Satellite monitored so the company knows what the unit is doing also.
