I believe Knight Transportation offers one, and I think they even pay you while you're in at as long as you work for them for a few months.

Averitt Express I think has a refresher course and they have terminals out in TX

It depends on how many years you've been out of trucking. I was out for 9 years, and therefore, I was told by companies like Schneider that I would have to take a 40 hours refresher course, which I did at Alvin Community College, Alvin, Texas. Lamar Institute in Beaumont has a 10 hours refresher, but it may not be enough hours.

I would think with not much info provided here that if you are looking for a refresher that it"s been awhile and so therefore looking to go back to work in this profession, that being said you probably have a multitude of choices (company's) to choose from, i would just start making calls.

What I did was make an excel spreadsheet of the companies I talked to. But again, some companies will give you their own refresher training if you have not been out of trucking more than three to five years. That's why I was told to go to an outside source for a refresher course since I haven't driven since 2005. But after I finished my 40 hours refresher, more opportunities were available. Some companies are sticklers for at least one year experience. But others like Schneider, Gemini, Service Transport, CTL, and others will take your refresher and train you some more!
