Refresher training or experience enough?

You are going to find a certain amount of rust and quite some changes in the industry since your time. But not too much.

Refresher is always good. I know I don't mind a refresher myself if I get back into it. But Ive worked with big rigs locally until 2010 myself and the backing into docks with trailers and so on is not the problem. Its all the BS electronics and stuff clogging the tractors with the emissions and so on so forth etc.

I hope to solve that by asking the boss man for the oldest iron in the far back corner.

 

You might have to take a test drive but any company will hire you.

Minus the megas for long haul. They'll probably want you to take a refresher course. Even if you're still driving for a local company.

 

13 yrs. experience; you're good to go.
