Quick question... about the practice tests on this forum/site found here: #1 Free 2020 CDL Practice Tests

Are these random questions taken DIRECTLY from the DMV tests? Or are these questions written by the trucking community here?

    Thanks in advance.

The way I did it was study the questions in the Official DMV book from your state. Best of luck.

The subject material is taken directly from various CDL manuals. There is likely to be slight wording differences between the questions you read at ANY web site and the actual CDL test. Trying to memorize the questions, especially for someone that is just getting by in English language, is guaranteed to fail.

They're pretty darn close to verbatim, close enough that if you can consistently score 95% or better you'll pass the dmv.

However passing the dmv doesn't mean much if you can't pass a carrier's orientation where they will expect you to know the meaning behind the questions.

Much easier to cheat a test, than cheat reality.

I don't intend to memorize test questions... that's never been my thing. I try to understand the reason behind things... that's the whole point after all.

The reason for my post is because I found some of the questions on the practice tests were worded a little... "off".

So I'm not really asking because I intend to memorize the questions... I'm asking to see if the practice questions on the site are representative of how the DMV questions might be worded.

I can promise you, more than one driver has gotten his CDL by studying these tests..(including endorsements).
I would be one of them.
