Yeah I haven't had it but about 6-7 months. I think I'm gonna keep it awhile:D

Yes Im gonna go ahead and change the coolant anyways. The stuff that I don't add water to is 10 bucks a gallon. The one you add water to is 8$...

Whatever type of coolant you use, use the strips to check the SCA and acidity monthly.
    Good luck

Use a funnel in the rain, no hose needed to flush. Hahaha

Distilled waters about $1.00 a gallon. So you can figure that out. Either way. The only other thing, that crosses my mind, is draining waterpump, they can hold some water. I never used to, just used 6 gal of AF, and 4 gal. of distilled. It’s pretty neglible amount. Pure antifreeze won’t cool well. Got to have the water, to cool. So 50/50 is the general rule, 60/40 max

Yeah I meant I can save a few dollars by buying the 100% antifreeze and halfing
it with water and making 2 gallons for the $8

Ive always used final charge in my trucks. But this is first time I've took the initiative to try to do everything myself...

Doesn't matter what brand or type of coolant you use. Like oil. It's good maintenance practice to test both.

I’ve been looking for straight final charge. All I can find is the pre mix. I had jumped on the red extended coolant band wagon in the late 90s. Used The new GM Dexcool, originally marketed by Texaco, in my WS. After it sat for 4 mos. while I was down, it gelled up in the reservoir tank. Flushed it out, and went back with the green. Since then GM had a class action suit, involving Dexcool. Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit all have their brands. Detroit has 2 different types. One being super expensive. It all makes Me wonder what’s hype, and what’s best. Anyway, just my thoughts. Final charge seems to be decent, not too expensive. Unless it’s at the Truckstop,$27 gal. Lol
