Requirements for Canada

    So, you WILL need either a passport or an Enhanced License (I have mine from NY; it cost me $45 above the regular CDL fee...). You may not cross the border if you are a felon, or have pending criminal legal action. No firearms are allowed to cross, nor are things like fireworks, pepper spray, etc. Fuel will be significantly more expensive in B.C.

    What kind of load? Will it be pre-cleared with customs, or will you need to go to a broker yourself? Generally large shipper provide pre-cleared customs documents, but smaller ones may not. Could take a few hours....

    If your company has contracts with large corporate loads and they have insurance for that province, it should be a fairly easy crossing....

    No. The 3 times I was arrested all charges were dropped! Jail wasn't fun though.

    They will ask you if you have ever been arrested. You will go to secondary and they will pull your record from the time you were 18. A dui is a felony here, so keep that in mind if you have ever been popped for one.
