    Hey guys...

This trick is nothin new especially in the detail auto world but i discovered it a few months ago...
Ya know when you wash your winsdhield at the trk stop you never get a clean brand new window look, well try this on your down time..
    Tools....
    1..wax of choice
    2..windsheild cleaner of choice
    3..0 ga steel wool
4..windsheild scraper or just a razor blade
    5..rags and maybe some water...
1st use cleaner of choice and give it a good clean or wash with soap n water,dry..
2nd take your scraper/razer blade and scrape off remaining of the bugs and the lil lips of imperfection from rock strikes m such..

3rd take your zero ga (any higher ga may scratch window)steel wool (windshield or side windows only,no mirrors or plastics)and with lite pressure buff the ever lovin crap outta the windshield(dry wool)untill your happy and it feels slick as a booger...
4th give it a quick clean to rid the small strands of steel wool...
Now wax and polish with your fav wax to a gleaming new window..

Now not only have you cleaned it you also helped protect from future bug attacks AND it will repell rain much better....
Oh and the ladys like it to,they get to see your pretty face as they go by..lol

Being a commercial window washer In a previous lifetime, I can vouch some joy hand dishwash soap and a razorblade does wonders on removing dried bugs

Drove through a massive patch of huge locusts this morning. Sounded like hail pummeling my truck. Took thirty minutes to clean the windshield and I had to stop ASAP to clean as it was seriously obstructing my vision.

    650cat425 and tommymonza Thank this.

Thanks for the windshield tip. I'll try it. The Sacramento Valley has bugs that turn into plastic blobs as soon as they hit the glass and lately we're over there a lot.
One thing though...you said that cleaning your windshield gets you a little excited? Son, you need to work on getting a social life, okay?

You are better off using 000 or 0000 steel wool single 0 can scratch glass

Yup, every time the chemical companies come up with a good mosquito spray either the enviro-wackos get it banned or the bugs develop a tolerance for it.
