I'm thinking of spiffing up my Pete . I want to do the wood look on the dash and wrap it in stainless. It's so expensive to do it from chrome shops , so I want to try to do a wood veneer in the places that I can so I can save a little somewhere. Any of yall do anything like veneer and if so how did it last and was it hard to do. Anyone whose tried it , let us hear about it .

Your best bet would be hydrographic film transfer

The later model dashes come apart fairly easily and there’s not a mess of wiring behind them. If I were in your shoes I’d pull the panels out and just wrap them with vinyl. You could have any style of wood grain that you wanted printed out and put on.
