it all depends on how your company's parameters have it set up and what they want you to do and how they're going to babysit you..
that being said Swift if you want to use personal conveyance to drive to the truck stop you have to get permission. where is with my company you got up to 30 miles for 2 hours whatever it takes you can't go over 30 miles when I need to go 15 miles Ican...
but I cannot advance the truck to get to a shipper or Thule consignee that's a No-No I can get to a truck stop if I run out of hours at shipper or consignee

I just got a new shipment of HOS today.

 

Seems like if you ELD disciples are as good at planning as you claim, you would be using all your HOS. Guess that was all horse____

The dude in this thread who said he wanted to make more money. Since he is an ELD lover, I can only conclude he is not using all of his available hours

 

Oh, I just figure most people try for more income for less time instead of maxing out their hours.

 

In this case however the implication was that if some of the drivers faded into Oblivion then he would be able to pick up their business and make more money that means more stops more time

 

Or it could mean adding trucks and personally working less.
