Does anybody on here use right now loads? If so are try any good and is it usual for the places to take 30+ days to pay you? And what is a good mileage rate to stuck to? Thanks for the help. I'm just curious cause I'm looking to be a owner op in the future and just trying to plan and get a feel for the boards, I'm sure it will all be changed by time I get my own truck and trailer and authority and all that other stuff but I'm just curious.

I am not familiar with that particular loadboard, but can offer some information about rates. Rates tend to be seasonal. Typically, during winter, rates are usually lower than during the warmer months, especially open deck freight. Rates will also differ according to the type of freight and region of the country. In the last few months I have seen rates from less than $1/mile to over $4/mile. I would say that your average rate for flats is around $1.65-2.35/mile. There are loads at or above $3/mile. Van rates can be around $1.20 t o over $2.50/mile. Loadboards that have proven themselves over the years are www.Internettruckstop.com, www.getloaded.com and www.Mymembersedge.com. There are other loadboards

Oh okay, I stumbled across rightnowloads a whole ago and decided to start messing around with it to get used to a load board (since they have a free trail). It's not bad just don't see too many users on it and most the loads I was seeing was to be picked up at say 10am on the 18th and I was on late last night and they haven't been viewed or bid'd on, idk if that's good or bad. I was kinda thinking 3 a mile was a little high cause it was coming out to bout 5,000 dollars to run to Cali (I wouldn't really go for the longer ones unless I really wanted to see that area). I been seeing a lot of people on here use ITS to get loads. Messing around with the calculator they had on the rightnowloads I was seeing that you can run a load to Nashville or somewhere you can make it in a day or two for about 1.50 a mile and still make about a grand for that, you knock out three or four of them in a week then that's pretty good money (a grand profit that is, overall you would make about 1,300 or 1,400 but of course fuel and food and tolls), but then again it comes down to if they think that price is too high.

Double check mileage with mileage calculator on web rnl is using air miles not actual driving mileage. I checked one flatbed load from Colorado to new jersey and the mileage listed was 172 less than actual miles.
