It's nerve wracking being "pre hired" at a place, lol. If you're just waiting on your drug test, you have to be in, unless something pretty messed up happens. Nice to be into tanker work tho, that's where the money is. I'm taking it easy with Dry van my first year or so (no idea how long I'll stay with my first job, I don't wanna be a job hopper tho).

I'm in (pending a background check, which I don't really have, lol) with Emerson Express. Says it can get me home weekends if I want, which I could take or leave at this point. I actually wanted to go OTR, but I couldn't pass up on 39 CPM just because it sounds fun to travel the country. Plenty of time for that later, lol.

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm a little nervous just not having had contact with them since Friday aftn. Ops Suprv thought the results would be in today. If I don't hear by tonight, I'll probably casually call in the morning to see what's going on.

Glad you don't have a "background"! Lol Sure don't want one of those in this industry!

From what little I know, 39cpm is a GREAT rate for just starting out in dry van! Seems like Schneider starts out new drivers at 29cpm!

Being Regional, you should get plenty of otr type travel, Chase. My Terminal keeps all its entry level drivers local for a year! I want to be otr but will gladly be local to gain the experience. Then, after my first year is up, they'll sic me on the whole nation if I want! Lol

Haha, I got a good one for you. My recruiter's on vacation, lol. Worst timing for me.

Yeah, I'm pretty psyched about the rate, they only just started accepting students, used to be 2 years experience, so hopefully they're OK.
