Have decided to give Roehl a go, should be ready to do orientation around the beginning of feb.
Would it be better to do it in Indiana or Wisconsin? (lol If I get a choice)

OK. I just got off the phone with a recrutier from Roehl. I Graduated from Truck Driving school on Dec. 13th here in Ga and I have been paitently waiting to join Roehl. Keep in mind I have been offered Jobs from 5 other companies, literally! But, I like their training location and terminal(Ellenwood, GA close to my home) for me, the schedule opportunities, and training set-up. Anyway I just called to re-confirm my start date of Jan.24th because I kinda don't like the idea of waiting so long, after graduating, to start work. And the lady told me that the 24th is still my start date and that they changed orientation and training. Now they have a 7 DAY Orientation/Safety Training. They will teach trip planning, logging, and close quarter manuvers, and more road driving(practice shifting). The pay for this new 7 Day Oreintation is $600. Then from there you go out with a trainer for 13 days as usually but the pay for that is now $90 a day. This is a good increase from the old $60 a day with trainer and $250 for oreintation.

Sweet thanks for the info guys.
Talked to my recruiter 2 days ago he didn't mention the increases, but that is definatly better pay. -
you might want to call and check out what he,s saying before you go jumping on the boat.

Regaurdless, am still intending on going with roehl. Although that extra pay would be great, it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.
Expect will end up with an Indiana orientation, Wisconsin a good bit farther away from where I live in upstate NY. -
that new program is starting in Ellenwood and going to expand to the other terminals, most will still go through the old program based on their region and orientation location. Hopefully by the end of March all will be in the new prg.
bigbear87 Thanks this. -
