Roehl has a company forum here:

I'll move your thread into that forum. -
Roehl is a great company to get started in trucking with. I got my training from them and have been driving for them for two and a half years. The people are very nice, and I have been treated well.
They run mostly east of the Mississippi, and give you the choice between hauling flatbed, van, or reefer.
Roehl is a very good starter company, in my opinion. If I were starting over again, I would go with Roehl.
For people with experience, they may or not be for you, as the pay is kind of on the low side. I started out at 30 cents/mile, but I was a new driver. I'm not sure what they would pay with your 6 years of experience.
Best of luck! -
Thank you!!

Roehls good. If you run you will make decent money, have good equipment, and have every opportunity to find a lane you are happy with. It is run conservatively tho, i think one of the secrets to company success. They are selective about who they hire it seems, maybe thats why i seem to get along with management...upscale for a starter company, probably the best out there, certainly one of them.
mellie371 Thanks this. -
I hope I can get some more info from drivers. The company I drive for has leased on to swift and I don't like the fact that they really don't want you to go home but once every 3 to 4 weeks and that's not right. They go home everyday to their families, is it too much to ask to see mine every other weekend? I shouldn't have to beg, so I need to go elsewhere. I have always like MY company and don't want to leave them, but swift sucks and it looks like they are completely taking over

They have hometime fleets which are 7 out/ 7 home, 14 out/ 7 home, and 4/3 3/4. With those you will most likely be sharing a truck with one or two other people. National fleets are 11out/ 2 home, 14 out/3 home and it goes up from there, cant remember the exact numbers. From what I hear, they stick hard to the hometime fleets because there are other drivers waiting on the trucks, national they try their best to get you home when you want, but shipping issues and all that good stuff sometimes pushes it.
Again, as I'm waiting to go to the school, I have no first hand experience, only what I hear from drivers. So far, everything has been accurate.mellie371 Thanks this. -
You can check into a dedicated account with Roehl as well. I'm on one and get home for 2 or 3 nights every week. Time to take out the trash, mow the grass, take the wife out to dinner once and leave before I get into trouble. Money is about the same as national route which got me home every 11-12 days for 3 off.
mellie371 and Projektf350 Thank this. -

Its a decent starter company. Get your experience and find a local job. If you live in a area with no good locals you may be stuck at Roehl
