@Garcia1960 I have been thrown off a horse or three, so I know where I am coming from on this metaphor. You need to get back in the saddle, and right quick.

Swift has a terminal south of Sacramento. I did two years with Swift based out of the LA area. I remember one of the experienced drivers in my orientation had a rollover. He lost an entire trailer tandem in a cloverleaf exit. Came to when the ambulance got there.

Apply to a lot of companies. Be up front and honest about your rollover. I think you will be back in the saddle soon, wiser and safer.

Glad you threw that in there. The guy fell asleep and rolled a truck over and you say they don't have grounds for dismissal? Suing your employer is easier said than done. It took me over a decade to get it done. One thing is for certain I would see a lawyer if I could afford it....if only to set up the terms of the resignation so they don't screw him after.

I would call NASTC and get one of their jackets to test for sleep apena. Maybe the reason you fell asleep. Then start filling out employment apps. You may have to start pulling ag products around CA, but wrong time of year for that.
