I'm thinking about getting this Pete, but I'm worried about this rust on the frame. Where can I take this, to get it checked out? As far if I need new frame rails or not, or if I can sandblast.
Rusted frame? Next step?

Look around where the front spring hangers bolt to the frame. Bet you'll find the same stuff. That aside, if the rebuild is for real, I'd go for it. Do you need to put the truck to work right away?
SAR and Montanaboy1988 Thank this. -
The rebuild is for real, got papers on it. It will be right away, but it will be paid in full. So, I can get it sand blasted within the next couple weeks. I'm guessing this truck was ran in the northeast a lot. So if it's rusted by the front spring hangers, can I run it?

One place to check is where the fifth wheel plate bolts to the frame. Make sure there isn't any frame jacking going on between the plate and top of the flange.
If you got that frame all cleaned up and painted you'd have one nice looking rig.Rounded_nut, OLDSKOOLERnWV, TallJoe and 6 others Thank this. -
Thank you for the advice I'll be looking at that , when I get back to the yard.OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this.
