S60 Erratic Communication

I have a 9800 International with S60 detroit engine.
The gauges in the cluster jump up and down and spin all the time but as soon as I plug in an adapter like Nexiq usb link 1 or 2, they all go to their places and show the right data. After unplugging, data displayed is correct until next ignition cycle where they all start again to jump.
Any ideas? Thanks
