    Yes.
They don't mind making someone else work on their behalf on the day that they 'can't' work.

    But here's the rub...
He had to call for that person to do the 'work' on his behalf, and that action was an act of work.

    Mike2633 Thanks this.

.... Is it any wonder why the Lord rebuked the pharos and sudess as hypocrits
That's why the father sent his ambassador from the the almighty throne of the heavens to mankind to introduce himself, say his peace, make his mark on his creation! and go back to the throne until the appointed time
........ Says he is coming back
And it will be like a thief in the night and this time he will not be a babe in a Manger, laying in a feeding troft for animals for our sake

I don't think work is defined in such loose and random terms.

Jesus wasn't just an ambassador of the Father, He is His only begotten Son - and so much more pertaining to us humans.
    Big difference.

And there must be an underlying reason why Jesus NEEDED to die on that cross as an innocent, for our sins, in order to redeem us.
He knew what it was. And even if He really didn't want it to happen, He went through with it.

So yeah I think it's alittle over board I think so too ........ God is not a religion where you stand on your left foot pointing East while bending elbow to the slight right
To make it quick and simple....
God is after hearts and he won't have it any other way
And that's not to mention he is a really good wrestler of hearts, he's relentless

That is a very simple and narrow answer.

If you have a house with a yard, and that yard has a lawn.
Do you consider mowing the grass as work, even though it is not done for your employer?
How about doing the laundry, or a thousand other things that require your effort in everyday life?

    It's a simple question.
