Hi all.... Getting in to the business to help a friend grow his transport company. I will only be doing local driving for a while so he can do the hauling. I live in Houston, Tx and am just about to get my permit. I went in last Friday to take my combination test and regulations test. I did fine on the combination test but the regulations test through me for a loop!!!
On that test, the question would pose a scenario then ask if it was Fair, Fail or Bad.... For example, you put on your turn signal 75 before the intersection.... Fair, Fail, or Bad...
Yet, when I talked with them after failing the test, the lady showed me each section in the handbook to study for each test. I am not finding the answers to some of the questions I missed. Am I missing something, or is it possible I took the wrong test? Any help would be appreciated and Thanks.

Yes I do think maybe you took the wrong test.
I've never tested in Texas.
But I thought all the questions were multiple choice. I don't ever recall a CDL written exam with choices like "fair fail & bad. -
That's what I thought also and the combination test was mutilpe choice like everything else I have seen. I took the test that the computer cued up for me and maybe they put in the wrong one. I am going back tomorrow to take the test again, so I guess I will ask about that before hand.

They had given me the wrong test on accident. Took and past the correct test this morning.
