From what I seen. The rates are the same as solo. You have to dead head more, and that will cut into your bottom line.

    LAwastehauler and LALA Thank this.

I've never run team but based on information after talking to team drivers, it's eerily similar to a marriage. It takes a high degree of compatibility to make things work out between the two drivers. You would have to determine if the emotion of a daily close quarter relationship, is worth the trade-off for longer runs and newer equipment. Good luck at whatever you decide. Be safe.

Seems company teaming is more lucrative.

I know it is hard to get along with someone else 24/7! Heck most of the time I have trouble getting along with myself for 10 hours!

I'm talking driving team using the choice board vs using the choice board as a solo driver. I'm doing well so far solo but I was looking to team with my brother to make more money.

Actual team miles will generally be about 1.5 times what a solo does, unless there is a lot of drop n hook. Hard to support 2 families that way unless you both live cheap anyway.

It is consistently reported that the shorter runs is where the money is. Can't see how you'd make more teaming.
