What are the penalties if you cant make the load? Do they depend on the situation, ie breakdown versus bad planning?

They knock you for $500 if you can't make the delivery on time. No matter if it was bad timing or breakdown. The exception is adverse weather or if say they closed down the road due to an accident.

I have never gotten a penalty but I also have never missed a delivery. If you maintain your truck properly and plan right, you shouldn't either. Sure, breakdown happens but I always try to get loads with enough time on them.

And I know a driver who had the waterpump go out and he had to make his delivery the following day instead of the day it was scheduled and they didn't charge him either. I think it is more of a detour than an actual penalty, to keep guys from booking loads that del then pu so close together.

When I first started looking into this talked to a few guys that said when things got slow a couple years back they stuck to that rule. But that if you a good reason they would not charge it now. I think the difference is it is competitive now for O/O and not looking to have a good driver leave over something that happens to all of us.
Your numbers look great. Is the pumpkin on elogs for O/O now? I heard a guy speak saying they would wait until required for O/O.

Yep, they run elogs for everyone now. It's actually a great system, and I have never had any issues. All the loads I posted gave me an easy 12hrs of down time and most all are drop and hooks so it fairly simple.

today has been one of them days that makes you want to run screaming away from trucking. half my load to conroe TX had paperwork for Ennis TX. eventually they figured out the freight actually was for them but the paperwork was for something else. however the paperwork had my bol# and trl# on it. we found a packing slip on the fright that was the correct paperwork but since I had already called sni with the problem I ended up sitting around for 3hrs. on hold most the time with Customer service. they said they found the problem and the shipper was faxing the correct bills. well the ones they faxed were the wrong ones that I had originally. finally cvs kicked me out of the door so I left. they were happy and I have photocopies of the correct paperwork. however CS wanted me to go back because when they sent me the msg that I could go they thought the shipper had sent the correct paperwork not the wrong stuff.
I was already in Seabrook TX at my next load and I wasn't going back. let me say gulf winds whs in seabrook and kiss my fat butt if they think I'm ever going back to that cluster. yard dog drivers doing figure 8's around me while i'm trying to back in, had 10 guys waiting for the same doors with no order. one guy would pull out and ten trucks would run for the door. I expected a fist fight.... 3 more hr's over there. then come back out to the truck to find my last load (the good paying hazmat load going home) cancelled and now i'm stuck in ft smith ar.

this is the second problem i've had with a load in two weeks and the second load i've had cancell. And my one complaint with sni is that if you have any problem which requires customer service.... you're gonna be WAITING

oh ya. and they are asking me why I was late to my delivery yesterday. I arrived at 10:45, they told me I had a 10:00 appt. the delivery info on my quailcom says deliver ON 5-17 between 08:30 and 12:30.... so how am I late?? I've never been late on a #### load in my life that wasn't caused my the winter closure of the interstate

I booked another load from ft smith to the house. pays $150 less though. :-(

So since they are so hard on making appointments on time. Do they supplement you guys for canceled loads?
