Schneider, claiming to be the best trucking company in the country. Schneider has overworked their DBLS so badly that they have repeatedly FORGOTTEN that my husband has approved time off, allowing planners to plan him routes that make him several days late for his off time. This time my husband will be two days late (missing his appointments!) because the DBL "forgot"!!! The only compensation they offered was to "try not to do it again"!

Never worked for Schneider, but have had friends who did. At one time probably was a pretty good company when Al and Don Schneider were running things. Nowadays they have just become just another Mega trucking company that could care less about thier drivers. Only thing they see are dollar signs.

Most companies seem to be the same, that's a big reason I'm an o/o now.

Maybe Hubby had already rescheduled them on his previous time off?

True. The #### trucking company should get him home when he is supposed to be home.

Yeah, maybe. I can understand unforeseen circumstances occasionally. But I'd be upset if that was the norm. Maybe Hubby should find another gig? I don't know.

I hate to tell you, nut it's also partly your hubby's fault too. While he should not have to deal with getting home on-time, if he starts pulling a load going the wrong way, or not near enough home, or such he need to get a hold of his manager, get the load removed and get a new load going in the right direction.
Unfortunately it's a sad fact for the industry, but drivers have to manage their home time fully, not just putting in a date and hoping for the best.

Yep, the reason I drive a day cab also. Could see it happening once and letting it go, but if this happened frequently I'd be gone or the truck wouldn't move until I was dispatched something towards home
