Some of you have seem to forgotten that this forum was created to express drivers' grievances with current or former employers IN THE FIRST PLACE!! Lately it seems a few of the seasoned veterans on here in particular rag on O/Ps by telling him/her for example:
"Put your big boy pants on"
    or
    "Welcome to trucking"
It's derogatory/smart*** comments like these (plus other issues in this industry) that are the reason why truck drivers are looked down on worse than someone who works at a McDonald's - and even they have a sense of FAMILY!

Growing up I remember when truck drivers had a sense of BROTHERHOOD and a lot of that was lost along the way over the past few years. Thank goodness there's still a few that still keep the tradition alive by paying it forward and/or giving another driver encouragement.

If some of you think another driver is doing something wrong why not help them do it the right way instead of ragging on them? Or to put it another way:
"PUT UP, OR SHUT THE ***** UP!!"

Because there are too many cry babies driving today!! It is there attitude that I am going to take my ball And go home if I do not get my way!! I also remember the day when truckers were like a brotherhood. Whats I most remember is they were tough good hearted drivers that did not whine to mamma everytime something did not go their way.

And what do you think you're doing now? And yet your passing judgment on some of these people and you don't even KNOW THEM or the circumstances of their lives to make any kind of assumptions.

Lol so it's unreasonable to give a company a window of 5 days to get me home right after the CEO sends out a company wide message on the Qualcomm telling us to make sure everyone exercises their right to vote, then they disregard my request to do what the CEO is preaching? It is the first time you heard this because it was absurd that they were so incompetent to screw up a simple request

    Lonesome Thanks this.

I'm betting that if the OP, and /or SteveP1977 were late with a load, and told Schneider "gee, I'm sorry, I forgot", the repercussions would be endless.

Folks, it's a two way street. The company expects 100% performance from the drivers on all levels. Why shouldn't drivers expect the same, or close to it, from the company?

    ladr and mjd4277 Thank this.

Agree 100% but quit the silly excuses that are childish. Schneider should And be held accountable when requested home time is not given.

I don't know about Shneider, the OP, or Steve. But I was with a mega and 100% on everything, no accidents, and I never got my home time dates met. Never! I often set hometime according to company rules got the qualcoms confirming the home time and then within the dates of the requested home time had the home time removed without my consent. It happened all the time.

It also happen like I described in post #38 on a regular basis.
