I don't know what to tell ya Allison. I'm home right now for a wedding. Requested time off last week. Told them it was for a wedding and they changed it to "priority time at home"
Put my last day of work as today. They had me home today at 10am.
Last hometime I took was 3 weeks ago. I had tickets to a show that cost more than people make in a month. That's beside the point except I told them. They couldn't find a load that would get me home on time and ended up bobtailing me almost 300 miles. Was home by 4pm. Now, what sucked is that the bobtail miles aren't paid, but I was home when I asked for it.
Have I always been home on time? No.
You know what also was a common denominator in both of the previous examples? I requested time at home to start on Thursday. And both events were (well one will be) on Saturday. So, even if I was a day late, I could be yelling at them hard enough that they'd fix it before it became a real problem.
Anyway. This is your second post about your husband missing time at home. Hopefully some of these tips are useful to fix this for ya. -
