I'm a Watkins-Shepard driver and I think our wages will be changed to Schneider's pay scale starting in 2018. So how much do company drivers make? I'm particularly interested in the CPM for those with 5+ years experience.

It depends on your location. I was based out of SLC and our Payscale was lower than alot of other terminals. When I left .39, with 5+ years, was the max and it had dropped .01 from the year before. But I had talked with other drivers who were making .40 by their first year and they were based in Terminals farther east.

But with you being Watkins Sheppard(I met Mr. Sheppard years ago while riding motorcycles in Idaho) I'm not sure how they'll determine it. If they'll go by a certain area or give you all a blanket term

MW regional, 6 years. 46 cpm base with a 3 cpm bonus.

Shorthand pay is just loaded miles. .50 cpm under 100 miles. .05 under 200

From what I was told our pay would stay the same we would just get raises more regularly than every year like we do now. I ask about bonuses and they are saying they will stay the same. But idk. Also from what I hear if you are not LTL regional or shortline or local you will run under the Schneider banner. OTR guys I mean.

Seems like a lot is gonna change Jan. 1, 2018 from what I hear. And it's a pretty good source lol

OC"S have watkins trucks being converted over to sni trucks. Qualcomm, sni truck and dot number, but still the Watkins logo on the side.

Well currently the pay scale tops out at five years so after that you don't get any raises. I hope they change it because I'm currently in a dead-end situation, pay-wise.

From way i understand the OTR drivers will pretty much be Schneider drivers. Hauling truckload freight. But will still be employed by Watkins Shepard. Idk how the names on the trucks and DOT numbers will work. But the ltl furniture will remain Watkins Shepard. I'm shortline so none of this affects me. This is also the reason they were saying the OTR guys had to take valuables out of their trucks.
The change over for the OTR guys may happen soon idk, but my understanding is Jan 1 2018.
All new hires will work for Watkins Shepard but will be hired by schneider.
Also they are finally gonna match our 401k Jan 2018 also lol

Yeah I knew there was a top out. I didn't get that info, I was just told it would be every 6 months instead of the way it is now.
