I think he was talking about the Busch account which I ended up rejecting.

From the Schneider drivers I talk to (2-3) a week, the general consesus on that side of the fence is dedicated > OTR. See if they have a Costco or Walmart account out there.

when I got a job offer from sni to do the Costco account it was only paying 34cents a mile and that was in 2015 and I politely had to decline their offer. You figure being a dedicated account driver would pay a bit more but they sure do like to pay you cheap.

My guess is it depends on experience.

As you probably already know, SNI has a reputation for having a very good training program. Sounds like you made a good choice and hope it all works out great. Just as an FYI for others who read this thread, though, it is not true that SNI doesn't hire people into their tanker division right out of trucking school, unless you're in the SE/TX. My son took a job with their tanker division right out of school this past January. We are in the Northeast and his training was in Coraopolis, PA. Their recruiters try to steer you wherever SNI the greatest need at the moment (rather than trying to find out what your interests are). I guess that's understandable. New CDL holders should just bear in mind who the SNI recruiters are working for (not you). Very likely your recruiter was going to get a bonus for filling seats for that beer account. Nothing wrong with that or the job you took, just something to be aware of.

If you don't mind my asking, where did you go when you left SNI, and why?

You WANT an automatic? And to work for the great pumpkin?

That's not trucking. Why not man up and drive a real truck for a company that's not a mega? Mega trucking companies suck balls
