Don't leave out two other good options; Prime Inc. and Central Refrigerated. Those would be my first two choices. Prime also has flatbed, tanker & refrigerated and pays $600.00 a week while riding with your trainer.

1 question , have you ever driven with a regular drivers license , your profile says 25 , did you get a license at 16 or will a CDL be your 1st attempt.
-
Never I was a ward of the state at sixteen and I wen't to Israel when I Turned eighteen. I never got around to getting a license in Israel it's very cost prohibitive.
-
But I have been driving allot I am very cautious very defensive

Attend a driving school for your automobile license. The DMV probably knows some good cheap ones or check the yellow pages or online. After receiving your automobile drivers license working with a driving school, then work toward your CDL.

Your brother doesn't know much about company selection. Those are two of the three worst companies out there. Why? Because they will take advantage of you. They train students to keep labor cost to a minimum. Your trainer might be someone that just completed training themselves and can barely drive let alone train. You will be used to cover them short loads nobody wants and see many $200 paychecks for working 70 hours. You will make more working at McD's the first year. I would keep an open mind and listen to what others have to say. Don't rely on just one person. Stay away from CREngland, Werner and CRST.
Many states have a stipulation you have to have your regular license 1 year before applying for your CDL. I've been all over the CA DMV requirements and have seen no such stipulation. So I guess a CA resident can go straight to a CDL.
It's not hard to get your regular license. If nothing else to establish a MVR. You haven't demonstrated any responsibilities in owning a personal vehicle. Putting the cart in front of the horse comes to mind. But if you can go for it.ElieazerDovBear Thanks this. -
Ok you guys are right I guess i'll slow my roll and get the class A before I get the c.d.l.

That does rather depend on the size of the cyst. (Mine was a good 8 inches long by the time they finally approved surgery.)
-
You must have gnarly hair in that area, Mine just burst and bled out it wasn't that big.
