Securing Crane Counterweights

    I know we used to haul 3 counterweights for 238 and 308 Linkbelts, the weighed 15,000 each. Seems like Liebherr had some around that weight too, never messed with them that much.

    I've done a few crane moves. I think it's cool how the crane assembles itself. I carried a counter weight once. It was around 42,000 pounds and did NOT like chaining it down. Another time I got one track.

    I did a load with two counter weights. The block in front had good chain securement points. The irregular shape in back did not, so I cross chained the front and back. Looking back on it I would rather put 4x4's under them.

    Ok folks so showed up at the shipper this AM and load turned out to be 3 11ton "slab" Counterweights. Easy load. 2 chains each. Should be at delivery site by 9am.
