Shower tipping.

$1 or $2 what I leave

 

I never tip for showers.
But if it makes you feel good, do it.
But don't look down on us regular people that don't tip certain Truck stop employees. Why not tip the cashier?

 

I try to tip if it's clean..then there was that one T.A. with the roaches and ants crawling on the floor...

 

It never even occurred to me to tip the shower cleaner. Not that I will now that someone brought it up.

 

I'm sure they get paid the same wage as McDonald's if not better. Or the turnover rate would be as high as truckers. After all. They aren't working for tips like waitresses and waiters. But it's a nice thought. Who doesn't like money?

 

Why? Showers and everything else on the road aren't expensive enough as it is?

 

They should tip us for stopping by.

 

I do it. I usually only go to full service truck stops. If the shower person is diligent (you know...greet you, ask if you need an extra towel and say something like "Sir, you can leave the door open and the towels on the floor), I have to tip. I appreciate the service. I appreciate a full service truck stop. At those other places, the desk clerks have to clean the showers. So you have these long lines for showers, AND you have longer waits for showers. And yes, I will give a pretty cashier a 'pretty girl tip.'

 

I've seen those guys use the big towels to clean toilets in Moriarty, NM. They get nothing.
