    "Pins" are the 4 round locking rods (2 on each side), that lock the trailer tandem frame to the slider frame.
    Air slide is just an air operated mechanism (air cylinder) that disengages or engages the locking pins, on the trailer tandems.

    If you slide your trailer tandems to a more "forward" position, it transfers more weight to the trailer tandems.
    If you slide your trailer tandems to a more "rearward" position, it transfers more weight to the tractor drive axle(s).

    Video shows it all. You're probably used to seeing manual "lever release" tandems.

    The main line coming out of the compressor cracked on my truck last week.

    Dispatch said, "I don't know nothin about truck Mechanics. Is that bad?"

    Me, "Well it is what provides brake control..."
