Ok so winter is almost here and I just love to go skiing. Since I can request hometime just about anywhere I want anyone ever try getting to any of the ski resorts for a few days? I was thinking possibly parking at either Denver, SLC or Reno terminals and possibly renting a car for a few days but was wondering if anyone knew a better way to do it like maybe a hotel not too far that had truck parking available. I'm guessing probably not because any hotel in these areas is going to cater to the tourists but its worth checking. Thanks
Skiing?

If you park in SLC there are quite a few hotels that offer free shuttles to the resorts and don't cost near as much to stay at. I'll see if I can remember a few of them and put them up.

That would be awesome thanks. Been to most of the big Colorado resorts so hitting up Park City is what I was leaning towards.

Winter Park Colorado has a train that runs up from Denver on the weekends. It's a nice little resort if you've never been. It's no Steamboat, but if you have time off during the week (my favorite time to ski)it's fantastic as there are far less crowds than Breckinridge. Have fun driver, and remember Enterprise picks you up.

Think I'm gonna do Park City, never been there. Winter Park is cool but been there before and pretty much everywhere else in CO.

brighton and alta have the best powder in the world and the city buses run to both resorts from slc for a couple of bucks. park-n-rides at the mouth of the canyons have room for bobtails on weekdays and take the bus right up the hill from there.

I dunno, I guess I don't need these skis, boots and poles in my garage, huh. I've skied Stowe, Mad River Glen, Winter Park, Steamboat, Breck, and many small East Coast hills since I was 13 on winter vacation. However, I've never been water skiing, go figure!

According to my Denver Daughter, it's also less expensive because it's owned in partnership by the city and county of Denver. And for those considering it, the Ski Train was terminated in 2009.
