It really helps if you can post pictures of antenna set ups that work......it just helps the less experienced get a clearer picture of what they need to do.

the 2000T is a good antenna. Single or dual. Single is all you need really. Maybe slightly better receive with duals. I'd go with the 10" shaft tho. You want it above and as far away as possible from the cab.

With new coax and a 4.5ft Francis antenna, you should get excellent performance for a very small investment. No need to buy an expensive antenna. You won't be able to tell the difference in performance in general use. The most important thing in an antenna is use the longest one you can get away with. If 5.5ft antenna will be under 13'6", that is what I would go with. I said 4.5ft initially because that is the usual length.....and yes, I think 4.5ft works better than 4ft......longer is better!!

Be sure and have the SWR checked when you install the new stuff. If it is a little high, the first thing I would do is pull the antenna off on the passenger's side. If that works, replace it with a aftermarket AM/FM antenna instead of a CB/AM/AM combo antenna. A nearby antenna cut to the same freq as the CB antenna you are using can cause a reaction (high SWR) even if it isn't hooked to anything. I don't know how, Handelbar or Outlaw CB, or somebody else will have to explain why if you are interested. Good luck!
