This is The Smasher on BC's Coquihalla Highway. Initial descent is posted at 8% but it's really more than that. Plus the elevation means that it's frequently covered with snow and ice.
The Discovery Channel did a series called Highway Through Hell about this stretch of road. If Hell was cold I'd agree with them.
Anyway I think this is fun, and it always brightens my day when I have to drive in these conditions.
