Please do not forget that time spent on a random whiz quiz is a line 4 item and will interrupt a reset.

Because I was aware of the rules I have to agree with the rules? I dont think ther should be any HOS at all, or any of this ######## of DOT/MC numbers, it's this little thing called freedom and liberty, you may have heard about them when you were learning US history in the third grade, you throw about 99% of all the other laws in the country in that same category.

For those of you who think we don't need government, think again. We need regulations. We as civilians cannot be trusted to do what's ethical. We as truckers cannot ge trusted to pull over when sleepy. The funny thing is, trucking is the only industry where people want to work. On stop. In any other job, you're looking at the clock waiting til you can punch out for a 30 min break.....lunch, or until you run out the schedules hours, the time you get off

Think about it a little bit, what do you do when get off of work at any other job? It's not like you just go home and do whatever you normally do after work 500 miles from home in a truck, there's not a whole hell of a lot to do in your average truck stop.

I wont dispute that. At the end of any shift, you're only thinking about food, shower, and sleep

If you have to park it at a truckstop then that would give you time to form a coherent argument to support your views other than “I don’t like the rules so there shouldn’t be any”.

I bet if another truck hits you you’ll like that rule about having insurance. Or if a broker doesn’t pay you you’ll probably like that rule about brokers posting a bond. If you’re getting paid by weight you probably like that scales have to be certified.

You really need to rephrase your first argument, that's about as coherent as somebody after a hard night's drinking to me, see how the whole "incoherent argument" works yet?
I haul hopper bottom, thought that was pretty much all exempt from broker bonds? In 3 years I've had one broker not pay me, and that was entirely my fault, at which point no half honest person tries to force them to pay. Getting hit by another truck, I tend to pay enough attention to my surroundings to avoid that, only takes that happening once in your life to make that happen, or that's all it should take.

Honesty really has nothing to do with it. HOS are a government thing. The government is an entity, not a person. You can not lie to an entity. I believe in being honest with our customers, dispatchers, etc. I believe they should be honest with me. But our job is not to kiss up to the entity that is government. They sure dont try to kiss up to us. Even though all of their money, and authority comes from us. My job is to deliver our customers freight safely and on time. And I dont care what government thinks of how I get that done. I never felt dishonest "lying" in a logbook. It is just the government.

They never worry about lying to us, why should we worry about "lying" to them about something that is none of their buisness to begin with?
